Influence of Compartment Fire Behavior at Ignition and Combustion Development Stages on the Operation of Fire Detectors

This paper presents experimental research findings for those involved in the early phase of fire office buildings. Class A model fires with a reaction area from 5 cm2 to 300 were chosen investigation. To mock up fire, following combustible materials typical offices used: wood pieces, heat-insulated linoleum, and cardboard. The main characteristics recorded: temperature combustion zone, heat release, time complete burnout concentration flue gas components. Typical trends histograms changes these over presented; stages ignition, flame smoldering illustrated. key detector activation at different analyzed.
